Second Floor Studios & Arts Ltd and Second Floor Studios CIC are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors and the personal data you provide to us. We operate affordable artist studios for the benefit of visual arts practitioners.
By using this website, mobile website, digital service or any products, services, features or functionality associated with SFSA Ltd or SFS CIC you consent to the use and processing of your information in accordance with our objective to deliver affordable artist studio projects, community outreach and the terms of this privacy policy.
What information we collect
We collect the basic personal data you give to us via the studio enquiry form, including name, email address, phone number, home postcode etc. If you progress to a studio application we then collect further information relevant only to your application to join a studio project. This does not include any special types of online analysis or location based information. You may also opt to provide financial information and sensitive personal information.
Our services are not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from those under the age of 18. If as a parent or guardian you become aware that your child has disclosed personal information without your consent please notify us via contact@secondfloor.co.uk
We may change this privacy policy from time to time without notification and therefore encourage you to check back and review our policy when you visit our website.
Why we need it
We need to know your basic personal data for activities like providing you with information about SFSA Ltd or SFS CIC and sometimes to offer or provide services, enter into and conduct contracts and licences, manage the organisation, for promotion and publicity, to fulfil legal obligations, to conduct research, for legal reasons, for equal opportunities monitoring, to communicate with you. We will not collect personal data from you that we do not need in order to fulfil this.
What we do with it
The personal data we process is handled by our staff in the UK. For the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information is securely held and we will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal data. No third parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows then to do so. We have a Data Protection Policy in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data.
How long we keep it
We are required under UK tax law to keep some basic personal data concerning financial records (Name, address, contact details, transactional data) for a minimum of six years. Your information we use to communicate with you about studio availability will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to be on our studio enquiry list.
What are your rights?
You have a right to request a copy of the personal information we hold for you and to have any inaccuracies corrected or your data erased. If you wish you raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Chief Executive who will ensure SFSA or SFS investigate the matter.
